Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously Model Floriculture Center, is a tulip garden in Srinagar, Kashmir. It is the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of about 30 hectares. The garden was opened in 2007 with the aim to boost floriculture and tourism in Kashmir Valley.. The Tulip festival is an annual Spring festival to increase tourism by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The festival showcases a variety of flowers in the garden. Apart from tulips, many other species of flowers– hyacinths, daffodils and ranunculus have been added as well. It is situated an altitude of 5600 feet.
Tulip garden is opened in ending March and closed in ending April and the timing is from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm every day. It is organized during the onset of spring season in Kashmir valley. It is expected to open in this year on March 23th 2024 and it only lasts for 20 days. This garden also has a number of walkways and fountains that make it an ideal place for people to spend their leisure time in a pleasant environment. This year, 1.7 million tulips are expected to be displayed in the tulip festival 2024 in Srinagar, J&K.
A record number of 3.65 lakh tourists, including 3,000 foreigners, visited the garden last year. The entrance fee is Rs 75 for adults and Rs 30 for children. For International travelers or foreigner it is around INR 200 for both adults and children (including taxes GST) per person.

By Road: The distance from Lal chowk to Tulip garden is 8 km,Then you can hire a taxi or rent a bike. Srinagar is easily accessible by road from cities like Jammu, Delhi, and Chandigarh.
